Mayfair Lodge Backpackers is a small and colorful hostel with very convenient facilities. The safe swimming beach at the Waitangi end of Paihia is under 100 meters from the lodge. The supermarket, shops, restaurants, takeaways, bakery, golf course, waterfall walk, river, boat ramp and the Waitangi Treaty House are all within short walking distance.
The lodge has varied accommodation at very economical prices. Dorm with maximum occupancy of 6 and Shared room with maximum 4 persons costs under $25. Twin and double rooms cost under $30. Single room costs around $50. All the rates are in NZ$ per person and include all taxes. All beds have clean bottom sheet, pillow and pillowcase. Linen or duvets are available at $2 per person for the dorm beds. All bedding is supplied for the double and twin rooms. Discount is available for BBH card holders.
Free facilities include - Off-street parking, courtesy pick-up, baggage & bike storage, fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, bikes, kayaks, fishing rods, TV & video library, games & jigsaws, pool table and book exchange. Other facilities are washing machines & drier and 24 hour broadband email, internet, telephone and fax.
