Fiddler's Green is a peaceful seaside holiday accommodation. The name Fiddler's Green comes from the legend of a sailor's paradise where the old seadogs could rest at peace - exactly how we felt when we found this snug hideaway after three decades roaming the oceans of the world.
The cottage
The furnished cottage has a queen-sized bed and a pull-out sofa with quality linen, bedding and electric blankets supplied. The kitchenette has a fridge, hotplates, and all cooking utensils. There's a private bathroom with towels and toiletries supplied. TV and gas BBQ are provided.
B & B suite
The bed & breakfast suite has two single beds and its own bathroom. Quality linen, bedding and electric blankets are supplied.
Enjoy the private, sheltered sundecks, lawns and picturesque gardens. Relax with stunning views of native bush and tranquil waters of the Bay of Islands. Listen to the sound of moreporks (native NZ owls) and kiwis (Russell is a kiwi protection area) and enjoy the star-studded, quiet nights.
The Fiddler's Green is ideal for honeymoons or to rest after a long trip.
We serve a gourmet breakfast and a barbecue dinner (on request).
The Fiddler's Green has easy access to beaches, all water activities, tennis, golf, bush walks, and gamefishing. Feel free to use our dinghies and kayaks.
Ten minutes drive takes you to downtown Russell with its restaurants, cafes, galleries, museum, giftshops, historic buildings and the wharf.
