Lyness CottageLocated 5 minutes away from Kerikeri, Lyness Cottage is a historic 1920's structure restored carefully to preserve its original look and feel. Edith and James Lyness settled in Kerikeri in 1931 and made Strathbrae their homestead. Their cottage is one of the original buildings of the locality and has been relocated to provide seclusion and tranquility. Sheep grazing at the doorstep, the sound of tuis, and the croquet greens in the beautiful surroundings of Strathbrae provide unparalleled enjoyment to the visitors and hosts alike.
The cottage is self contained with a bedroom having queen size bed, claw-foot bath and shower ensuite, a kitchen cum lounge and a BBQ outside. A sunny verandah and deck offer unhindered views of the Kerikeri inlet. Polished rimu floors, kauri furniture and glass cupboards round up the historic ambience. The accommodation is not suitable to children. Breakfast and dinner are available on request and smoking is allowed out in the open.
The double occupancy tariff varies seasonally from $125 to $150. There's a winter special offer of 50% discount on the 3rd night after a stay of 2 nights, during June to August.
