Offshore Jet boat ride on Mack Attack , Bay of Islands 2007-07-15

Offshore blast on Mack Attack, a beast of a jet boat. We're doing approx 35 knots here and it was bloody uncomfortable. My back was killing me for 2 days afterwards. Twin 660horse turbo diesel V8's. Gotta love those V8's.

We will take you through the inner and outer islands of the Bay to the awe-inspiring scenery of Cape Brett, then cruise through the 'Hole in the Rock' and explore deep into Cathedral Cave. The option of pick-up or drop-off at historic Russell is included.

I loved riding along the waves − at times the Mack Attack, − what the speed boat was called took off and we were airbourne for a few seconds − it was great fun and an excellent way to explore more of the Bay of Islands....

We also spent a weekend in a place 4 hours north of Auckland (the winterless North) called Paihia − a seaside town. Where the kids and both Ian's went on a really fast boat called Mack Attack and spent 1.5 hours out at sea....
